The Alpha Cat

We have two adopted adult cats. They were a year old when we took them and supposedly siblings. Once in a while, the "alpha" cat decides that she's had it with the other and will all but cat fight with her. The other day, this cat spent the day in the basement afraid to come up. She'll go way out of her way to avoid the bolder one. What's your advice?

RESPONSE:

Play with them more and tire out your more agressive cat. Offer treats when they are together and behaving so they will associate good things with each other. Otherwise, let them work things out for themselves. Just because they are siblings doesn't mean they will always get along. Sibling rilvery exists in all families!
