my feral and stray cats by: Anonymous
We trapped a 6 month old feral cat and it stayed in our bathroom for a bit and then it would come out and check what was going on but never came to us. Eventually I would try and pet her every day. We have had her a year and I can pick her and I can pet her and she purrs and always wants to be with us. She is the sweetest cat that I have.
I also took in a 1 1/2 year old cat that was living outside for a while and I think someone dropped her off in my neighborhood. A very sweet but a little anxious. We bought Feliway and it has helped wonders.
So if people think that feral and stray cats can't come around, they most certainly can.
I hope this helps.

FERAL CATS by: Anonymous
I took in a feral cat about 3 weeks ago, she hid for 2 days in the bathroom and bedroom and then we put her in a crate for 5 days. i could not stand leaving her in the crate any longer even though i was told not to take her out until she liked one of the "humans". She still would have been in there! i took her out and she is still very nervous, but she likes to play with the mouse or ball on a string and every day she seems to be a little more comfortable. We have one other cat who is 6 months old and a dog. She plays with my other cat now. I would never throw her back outside and I would hope that people who take in feral cats wouldn't throw them back either. It will take a long time but I think she'll be a great cat soon. Good luck.
