Henry, Harry, and Sammy are 3 lucky brothers that were able to be adopted together. They live with a very nice couple who spoils them rotten. At 3 years old, they are all happy and healthy. We get to see them on occasion and they have all turned into very handsome, playful, friendly boys.
This handsome boy was named Kirby. He was a big cat at almost 15 pounds. His favorite thing to do was shred paper! Paper towels, napkins, newspaper, any kind of paper. It was a real challenge making sure 'shredables' were kept out of his reach! He succumbed to renal failure when he was only 8 years old and we miss him terribly.
We named this little one Mee because her mew sounded like she was saying 'me'. She and her 4 siblings all died within days of each other just a few weeks after this picture was taken. We were unable to save them. It was heartbreaking for all of us.
Miss Bee was already a senior citizen when she came to live with us. Her owner could no longer care for her. She was shy but very sweet. She liked to 'mother' the young kittens and cats. She loved being scratched behind her ears. She was with us for 3 years before she slipped away peacefully in her sleep. We miss her.
New Arrivals
This fluffy young boy is called Pumpkin. He is a new arrival. He climbed onto our roof, jumped down into the kitty paddock, and sauntered right into the house! No one came to claim him so we assume he was abandoned. He was tested, vaccinated, neutered, and is settling in nicely. There have been a few minor squabbles between him and Buddy but nothing serious. We suspect that once Buddy makes sure Pumpkin knows who's boss, the 2 of them will become fast friends! UPDATE: Pumpkin was unhappy with his name. He refused to respond to it. We recently started calling him Charlie and he seems to like it. After a couple of days, he started responding to his new name so...Charlie it is!
This is Daisy. She is a new arrival and is about 8 weeks old. She, her 2 brothers and 2 sisters, along with their mom arrived a month ago. (See their pics below) Daisy had her first vet visit (along with her siblings and mom) and was deemed healthy. She is very friendly and curious and loves playing in the kitty yard. A real sweetheart!Click here to read the update on the kittens!
Meet Ernie, brother to Daisy. He is a little shy but is beginning to warm up to us. He loves his food and is the largest of the siblings. He will grow up to be a beautiful cat!Click here to read the update on the kittens!
This is little Heidi, sister to Daisy and Ernie. She is the smallest of the siblings weighing in at only 2 pounds. She is a little shy like Ernie but is very curious about us and will often pop her head around a corner to see what we are doing. She is going to be a real cutie when she grows up!Click here to read the update on the kittens!
This is Molly, sister to Daisy, Ernie and Heidi. She is very laid back and doesn't seem to be bothered by anything. She has already befriended Charlie and likes to sleep with him. They always eat meals together too! Click here to read the update on the kittens!
Meet Wally, brother to Daisy, Ernie, Heidi and almost identical twin to Molly. We sometimes still have trouble telling Molly and Wally apart. Wally is also very laid back but is more curious about his surroundings. As soon as they were allowed to join the rest of the group, Wally started exploring the rest of the house. He will sleep anywhere and we sometimes have to really search to find him!Click here to read the update on the kittens!
This is Gizmo, mother to Daisy, Ernie, Heidi, Molly and Wally. She gave birth to the kittens on our property. She is very friendly but was impossible to catch or even trap. She is very smart and we can only guess her age at about 5 years. When her kittens were born, they were in an area we couldn't get to. Once she moved them under our porch, and they began to explore on their own, we caught the babies and brought them in the house. We then just opened the door and let Gizmo see her kittens and she just walked right in. We then led her to the isolation room with food, put the kittens in there with her, and let them all settle in. Gizmo is now allowed out with the rest of the cats. There have been a few squabbles but nothing serious. She seems to be settling in just fine. Click here to read the update on the kittens!
