NON-TOXIC BUSHES AND TREES

by KERIANNE SEKARSKI
(HALLSVILLE, MISSOURI)

I WANT TO PLANT SOME BUSHES AND MAYBE A SMALL TREE IN OUR NEWLY BUILT CAT ENCLOSURE. THE SPACE IS ABOUT 1500-1800 SQUARE FEET WITH A 16X8FT. SHED IN MIDDLE. I KNOW THE 5 CATS WHO ARE LIVING THERE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE NATURE IN THERE AND SOMETHING TO PLAY ON AND JUMP IN. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND INFO, GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

KERIANNE

RESPONSE:

I bet your cats love their outdoor area and I know they would love some plants and bushes. This link will take you to a printable list of Plants Toxic to Cats.
Print it out and take it with you when you go to buy plants for your cat enclosure.
Then just plant the plants, water them, and watch your cats enjoy them! We highly recommend planting some cat grass too! If you want to give them catnip, don't plant it where the cats can get to it while it's growing or they will become immune to it. Be sure to avoid pesticides too!
Have Fun!
