my cat is peeing all over my home and my other cat has become very hyper. what to do?
I have a indoor male cat PO, and have been feeding 2 outdoor cats a male that I named SOX and a female that my daughter named BEYONCE and they pretty much live in my back yard. MY cat PO has recently become really close to these cats and empregnated BEYONCE. Since then ALL cats have been inside my home and only go outside to do their business. They have always been pretty calm they sleep all day so I was ok with all of the cats beeing inside my home.BEYONCE recently had her babies 4 days ago and my home has become kaos. The young male SOX has become very playful and is destroying my home. My male cat PO has begun peeing all over my home.I have tried cleaning the spots with bleach and putting a litter box inside my home. That they have used once in a while.I dont mind SOX so much because a lot of the playful things that he does is pretty funny and im sure he misses his sister(who used to be his playmate before she had her kitties). I know that BEYONCE and SOX are only a year old so its expected, but im still concerned because he was so calm befor. Now im more concerned about my cat PO and his behavior and what I should do to stop it.I plan on keeping all 3 cats since they seem to be very loving towards each other. I also plan on getting them spayed and neutered so I dont have this situation again. I just need a little help and understanding as to why my cat PO is reacting this way.Thank you Sincerly PO's mom9-865
RESPONSE:
PO is acting like a normal dominate male that he is. Things will only get worse as long as all of the cats are intact and there are kittens in the house. Mom and the kittens should be kept seperated from the males at all times and get the boys neutered ASAP! As soon as the kittens are weaned, get mom fixed! 2 intact males, mom and babies are a dangerous combination and disaster is just waiting to happen. At this point, the cats are not "friends" and could easily harm each other. You have a mom protecting her babies and 2 males competing for her attention. The male that is not the father could harm the babies in order to make the female go into heat again so he can father the babies. Seperate them, get them fixed and see how things are after the babies are adopted out.
