Kittens - An Update on How They Are Doing!

The kittens, along with mom Gizmo are doing well! Gizmo has been spayed and is now living the good life with no responsibilities! The babies, Ernie, Daisy, Molly, Wally, and Heidi are steadily growing and getting bigger everyday.

They are starting to explore all areas of the house, enjoying having meals with the big cats, and using the big kitty litter boxes! All of them have had their vaccines and are scheduled for their spay and neutering next month - but we haven't told them yet!

Here are some updated pictures of them and be sure to check back as we will be adding more soon:

Here are Heidi and Daisy (on top left to right), and Wally and Molly (bottom left to right) enjoying the big cat tree in the screened in porch.

Daisy (top right) has taken a liking to the kitchen and spends most of her time there. We were lucky to catch her here enjoying some quite time with Heidi.

This is little Wally. He is very loving and sweet. He has started to visit us and insists on cuddling up in our laps and purring like a motor boat! He is going to be a real lover.

This is the cutest picture of Molly. She loves helping us sweep and mop. She comes from wherever she is to help, especially with sweeping. She loves to get swept around on the linoleum floors. She will lay right in front of where we are sweeping and we push her around with the broom. When we stop sweeping her, she scrambles, slipping and sliding on the floor to get in front of the broom so we will sweep her again. It is just too cute!

This is big brother Ernie. We call him the big brother because he is much bigger than the other kittens. He is slowly starting to trust us. We can now pick him up without him scrambling to get away. He still prefers to spend his time with his older adopted brother Louie.

Little sister Heidi likes to tag along but we suspect the boys are just tolerating her as they mostly ignore her. (Below: Heidi with Ernie)

KITTENS UPDATE - All of the kittens have been spayed or neutered and completed all of their vaccinations. They are growing bigger every day!

Ernie is still a bit stand-offish but is starting to spend a bit more time in the house. He does not like to be looked at (he runs off if he catches us looking at him) but at feeding time he enjoys being petted. We'll keep working on him!

Wally, as predicted is a BIG snuggler! He sleeps with us on the bed , loves being petted, and will chase our hand around to get more pets. If we don't comply, he starts rubbing and head bunting us in the face until we pet him again!

Molly still loves housework! While sweeping is still her favorite chore by far, she has now started helping us with the dishes and laundry! We can't fold anything from the dryer without her help!

Daisy seems to be everyone's "mother"! She initiates shared grooming with any cat that will let her. She has especially taken a liking to Murry, Freddie, and Frankie. She likes those boys and follows them around all the time. We can usually find her snuggled up with one of them!

Heidi is getting braver and spending less time with Ernie. She has started having her meals in the kitchen with the bigger cats and loves to explore the cupboards and closets. She has started talking to us - a lot! She is still tiny but that just makes her all the more cute!
