Kilmouseky the Crime Fighting Cat

This is the story of of a very smart mother cat called Pepper, and how she got her baby Kilmouseky adopted and took down drug dealers at the same time! We were told this story by Inka and Ron, our friends from Canada. We thought it was a great story - Hope you do too!

How we got Killmouseky

One day my husband called me in the office and told me "you would not believe what just happened. A mother cat with her baby boy (about 6 weeks) just entered our garden, they are from two houses over. The little guy hunted after a butterfly but mother called him back. She went the stairs up to our sun porch through the open door into the kitchen and was greeted by then our only 3 cats Geoffrey, Kessie and Walter. I had to help the little guy up the stairs. I poured them a saucer of milk. Her baby walked right in there and mother licked him clean. They than stayed for about an hour. Pepper, that was the mother's name, had probably a talk from woman to woman with Kessie. Inka, you will fall in love with this little guy." This procedure went on every day for about a month. Then Pepper left Killmouseky, how we called him now, with us and went home alone. Killmouseky who was dearly loved by Geoffrey, Kessie and Walter lived with us now. The poeple two houses over did not care. From time to time Killmouseky visited his mother Pepper. After approximately two months I came home from work and there was no Killmouseky to greet me at the door. My husband said, the people over there moved and probably have got Killmouseky when he visited his mother. Since I cried my eyes out, my husband promised to find out where these people moved in order to get Killmouseky back. He would follow them when they got the stuff they left behind. They did not care very much in the past so we thought Killmouseky's mother wanted us to take care of her baby. And how right we were. Should my husband ever consider to get another job, I think to be a P.I. would be more than appropriate. He followed the neighbours in the right distance not too close not too far away and found out where they now lived. We went there at night in the hope that this little guy had escaped. No success for 6 days. At the seventh night we suddenly saw a little shadow emerging from the house. I called "Killmouseky"! He immediately came to the fence and we encouraged him to jump up but he was too small to take this big jump. My husband helped me over the fence and as soon as I picked him up he started to purr. My husband put him in the carrier in the car and we left without lights. At home Killmouseky was greeted enthusiastically by our cats and licked and pampered. A week went by and a police officer from the drug unit rang the bell at our house. He asked if we knew where the people two houses over moved to, they were under observation for some time. Well, we could help him. We had rescued Killmouseky from a drug dealer, very strange, our area is very quite it's just the bad apple in a healthy crop. Killmouseky's mother knew what she was doing with her baby. We never got over it that we could not save her as well. We went back to this house for so many times but never saw her. Well, stupid animals? no stupid people! We have a story for every one of our cats and all of them prove how intelligent, loving and considerate these little guys are. Story by Inka and Ron
