Update
by: Susan D

Just wanted to post an update...
I did run out and grab some Rescue Remedy for Pets by Bach Flowers. I followed the directions on the box. I put 4 drops in a smaller, fresh bowl of water. I also put 4 drops on a treat and put it in a fresh dinner of wet food (I placed it in the gravy, my kitty's favorite). If she still had an appetite, I knew this is what she would eat first. It worked. She ate the treat and I believe the Rescue Remedy started working immediately. Within minutes of eating she was already showing signs of improvement. As of now, she has yet to throw up again, so I'm taking it as a good sign. And more normal behavior, for her, is starting to reappear.
I did not purposefully go against the response to my question. I just wanted to make that clear. I felt I couldn't wait and wasn't sure if I would receive/see a response at all (it was my first time trying this site). So far, so good. However, at this time, as a college student who was just laid off, a $135 vet visit wasn't something I could afford. If it came to that, I would have found a way; but I have worked w/ Bach Remedies before, with this kitty and the results were extremely positive so I went back to what worked and what was the cheaper of the options at the time.
Hopefully my decision was the correct one. At this time, it seems to have been just that. I will write again if there is a relapse. As of now, it seems she is feeling better. Hopefully my experience helps others! Good luck!

RESPONSE

Soooo glad to hear your baby is doing better! It sounds like your cat probably had a simple virus but keep an eye out in case the problem returns.
Sorry we couldn't have been more helpful regarding your situation. We don't feel comfortable offering medical advice unless the owner knows what the problem is and the cat has been seen by a vet. We would hate to recommend something only to find out later that the cat had something life threatening and/or died because the owner opted to self treat based on our advice instead of seeking proper medical help. We just couldn't live with ourselves if that happened!
We, too have used Bach Flowers and/or Spirit Essences with our cats and have recommended their use to others but only for cats with known or chronic issues.
We completely understand regarding the money for the vet and our initial reaction is "$135.00 for an office visit! Holy cow!! Find another vet!!!" Our vet only charges $30.00 for an exam. $135.00 charge should be a crime!
Good luck in school and finding another job. We don't envy your position! Take care of yourself and your baby!
