CATS PEEING ON SOFA

We have to keep the the sofa covered with pooch pads where cats are peeing on our sofa, and why they picked the sofa???? Tired of washing the sheets and shower curtain all the time.

The cats picked the sofa because once one cat urinates on it, the smell is next to impossible to get out. It needs to be deep cleaned several times with a cleaner designed to get out cat urine. We use products from Planet Urine.com and they work great. Of course, we no longer have a big, overstuffed sofa in the house. We have really nice furniture designed for use outdoors. They are easy to keep clean and are actually quite comfortable.
You can try using Sticky Paws or double sided tape attached to placemats or "Scat Mats" to help keep them off the sofa but nothing will work until it is completely free of cat urine odor. Contact Planet Urine, they may have some ideas or may even have people in your area that do this type of clean-up. Or, get a new couch, start fresh, and keep the cats off of it!
